03 — FOUNDER STORY

When cricket
came back.

FROM BEHIND THE CAMERA TO BACK ON THE PITCH

For Mahadevan Thampi, cricket was always more than a game. A photographer and cinematographer who has worked across Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi cinema and contributed to more than 100 films, his professional life kept him behind the camera. Somewhere along the way, cricket had to take a back seat.

Then, in 2025, an old friendship with Prem brought him back to the nets. Along with Prem and his friend Priyadarshan, the game slowly returned — through nets, gully cricket, turf cricket, inter-club matches and tournaments.

PLAY, LEARN & GROW?

Through the game, Mahadevan met Vishnu Senan, a passionate cricketer and active coordinator who brought players and clubs together. Their conversations soon became bigger than matches.

Their shared idea became the foundation of Crick Craft: a place where everyone can play, learn and grow — from young children picking up a bat for the first time to adults who have carried their love for cricket through busy lives.
